Regensburg II

Guitarman took the Js to Regensburg again. It’s a pretty good-sized city, so there is lots to see there. Wee Laddie and I stayed home to simplify things a bit for them.

The hot water was out from everyone’s showers. It seemed to take a surprisingly long time for the water to get hot again. I don’t know how it works here. We have one of those whole-house control systems… two thermostats downstairs control the heat & water for the house. One monitors upstairs and the other downstairs. We have radiant heat throughout and heated floors on the main floor… and the hot water is set to off during most of the day, after our typical shower time and up until close to dinnertime. It typically works out fine and if I take a shower at a weird time I just go push an override button that gives us one cycle of hot water. Today it didn’t work so well and got our schedule kind of thrown off.

We ended up having a later lunch than I’d hoped and then nap got started a bit late. (Well, late for an at-home day, not as late as it sometimes ends up.) We pretty much ran out of time to do much other than dinner. It doesn’t help that Wee Laddie eats a very leisurely lunch… I believe it was 90 minutes today.
